German Exchange Trips

The exchange relationship between our two clubs (Lodsworth and SV SuSa) has spanned 34 years with our first visit being back in 1976, this was started up by the Newell family visit to the Klang family. They live in the small town of Ohne in Northern Germany (close to the Netherlands border, Schuttorf, Bad Bentheim and Nordhorn). Since 1976 there have been a total of 17 trips and our German friends will be coming over again this year (2010). We always visit on the easter weekend because of the extra holidays and the weather is usually good. The home team host's the visitors and this has been the key to the success of this exchange. The football is not the important part of this trip but acts as a means to bring people together, make new friends and to meet old ones (many people having made life long friendships along the way). Lodsworth FC are very proud of this relationship with SV SuSa and is key to our Club's identity.
